Ginger o ginger! That was all this song said. Who would sing something like this? Was it really good or useful?
Experience gave me the answer I needed.
I went to visit a friend of mine and cramps came upon
me like jealousy. My friend brought me a cup of what I thought was orange juice
until I brought it close to my nose and I found out it was ginger juice.
In a few minutes after drinking it, I felt
the pain slipping away. I never knew it worked like that.

The history of Ginger came from Southern Asia. In this
present day and age, there are many genetic variations of ginger. According to FAOSTAT data of 2014, India is the highest producing nation while Nigeria is fourth on the list.
Benefits of ginger
1. For severe pains from fibroid, ginger helps to take
away the pain.
2. It is very effective in fighting nausea. If you’re
having a hard time battling morning sickness, sea sickness or vomiting after a
surgical operation, you should try it. It’s extremely useful when it comes to reducing nausea drastically. However, it isn’t a cure for vomiting.
3. If you're prone to catarrh or cough, you should try it out. It’s also effective when
if you have sore-throat.
4. Ginger also helps to reduce the risk of infections.
When it comes to dealing with many types of bacteria, take ginger to fight
it. If you notice your gum swells, itches or turns red, it may be a sign of gingivitis which ginger fights
effectively. It's also used against another bacterium that’s called periodontitis which affects the teeth.
5. When taken fresh, ginger works against infections
such as the Respiratory Synctical Virus
(popularly known as RSV) which is an infection that affects the lungs and
respiratory tract.
6. Daily intake of ginger can also reduce muscle pain
that comes from exercising. It also reduces the pain that comes from Osteoarthritis which is the worsening or degeneration of joints in the body that cause joint pain and stiffness.
7. If you’re struggling with indigestion whether mild or
severe you should try out ginger. It quickens the process of making your
stomach empty.
Don't forget!
Ginger can be chewed. If you don’t like chewing it, you can dice it into a kettle, grate
it, boil or blend it or cut into hot water and leave it covered for a few minutes. You can take it with lime juice or honey or blended pineapples and add a few drops of vanilla essence to it.
