CHAPTER 15.
Feeling elated was an
understanding. Henry felt on top of the world.
That’s the thing with grief,
pain and loss: when its overwhelming and you channel all of it into a
particular thing, you’ll succeed in that thing.
Most people hardly channelled it
into the proper thing. Many people don’t grieve properly.
As long as they channelled it
to deal with Malaki, it was fine for him.
He couldn’t tell them to see a
psychologist, he knew these guys; when sense wasn’t directing them, ego was.
Henry and the guys had planned
and monitored Malaki before executing their plans.
The group they sent to way lay
him were just stupid guys. How could they allow him escape like that?
They even had the effrontery to
tell them they failed and had a man down.
He had to tell the gang to take
over which they did the previous night. He was going about to see Malaki and
show him what was worse than hell.
Not knowing who would be
Malaki’s saviour made him decide to find
a hideout that would make all enemies sweat before arriving at this particular
place.
With all his adrenaline
pumping, Henry gave a deep throaty laugh. He downed a spirit and ran up the
stairs.
Inside the ware house was his
enemy.
Malaki!
The mad man was even
asleep and he knew exactly what to do to wake him up.
A bucket of water
mixed with urine and engine oil was the trick.
With no concern, he splashed
it on a sleeping Henry who rushed back into consciousness. Henry and the other
team members laughed.
On the other hand,
Malaki was stunned to see Henry and some other guys. He knew he was in serious
trouble and he might never see the light of day ever again.
Malaki closed his
eyes to say his last prayers but a hot slap on his check reconfigured his mind
about it.
He opened his eyes
but the effect of the slap gave him a 3D vision.
All in a bid to calm
down, a raging Henry hit the wall with his fist before drawing his seat closer
to Malaki.
Henry gave a formal
introduction and told him the story of how he loved Tracy but life decided to
step in and brought Malaki - a wonderful caretaker who turned into a pest was
Henry’s description.
Henry said his only
issue with Malaki was that he gave Tracy headache but when he decided to send
his babies to attack him, it became a battle field.
Speaking about wrong
timing, Malaki decided to speak. He feigned ignorance about the babies Henry
was talking about.
Blood oozed from his
mouth and nose as his response made two of the gang members beat him. They stopped
at Henry’s command.
Henry told him not
to lie. It would do him no good. He knew Malaki sent the hoodlums and even
though he brought them down, they also took down one of his men.
Henry was going to
make sure he paid for sending the dweebs and also for the man he lost.
After brainstorming for several minutes for the way forward, Malaki's answer finally arrived.
Henry was infuriated; Did Malaki think he was joking?
He told him to stop laughing but Malaki didn't
It was an answer to
Malaki’s escape prayer. The head-boots that landed on Henry’s forehead left him
dazed and Malaki continued to struggle with the other team members.
He braced himself up for the challenge; he would go down but surely with a fight.
Three gunshots were
fired; it hit the other three men with Henry.
Someone else took over
the fight!
Quite Interesting, hope to read the next chapter asap
