KNOCK OUT.

Malaki finally got to Dominic’s house. It was really difficult finding the place.

Even though it was difficult getting there, the most important thing was that he arrived there.

He still found it hard to believe he forgot the road that led there.

Prof B got acquainted with Dom’s beautiful and bustling mother.

She welcomed them with snacks and drinks but Malaki was the only one who ate. They moved to the issue that brought them to her house.

Dom’s mum was shocked. She said she met Mia but her son said they were dating and working together in Czech.

She had the baby some weeks ago; the wonderful part was that she knew how to reach them.

Malaki exhaled. That was quite good; he only hoped Dom would be wise enough to bring Prof’s daughter and grandchild back before he decided to hurt Dom’s mum.

He smiled...Prof was a Grandfather now, hmmm, he hoped the man would take things easy.

Someone hit Malaki’s shoulder. He had slept off. Prof said it was time to leave.

The last thing he remembered was Dom’s mum was trying to reach her son on phone. It looked like the issue was settled.

On their way, Prof said he spoke with Dom and Mia. They were doing fine and they promised to be home the following month.

He even heard his grandchild whimper. If he didn’t see them by the following month...hmm!

Malaki decided to congratulate the Prof on the birth of his grandchild. He noticed Prof relaxed.

The man seemed calm by whatever Mia and Dom told him. For now, that was good enough.

They dropped him off at his house; for them to know his house, meant he had been under survailance for a long time!

Entering into the house, Malaki fell on his bed and opened his eyes exactly six and a half hours later. That was a total knock-out!

He took some pain relievers after eating and then another round of knocking out.

He woke up the following morning and felt reinvigorated.

After taking a light meal of oats swimming with lovely creamy milk which he couldn’t do without daily and a bit of sweetener, he took a light shower and began his day.

He placed a call to the leader of the touts he paid to deal with Henry but after he dialled the number three times, he stopped dialling.

Strange but they should be the one to call him first to ask for their balance.

He hoped they didn’t simply scared him and nothing more, hmm...

He said a quick prayer and put the thought behind him.

After spending a better part of the day watching a couple of series, he decided to get fuel for his car and check on the guys.

He turned on his radio as he whistled and nodded to the music of Asa titled ‘Eyo’ when a car blocked him off.

He opened his mouth to shout at the guys alighting when he saw they were loaded.

With guns!

Immediately, he switched on the ignition, took a 180 degree turn and sped off.

The guys were close on his heel but luckily for him, he knew the route properly. He parked at fuel station and called a paid motorcycle rider to take him home.

He was glad to leave them and he hurried the rider who almost bumped into an old man. While they apologised, the man held Malaki tenderly.

He showed him a pistol and sat behind him on the bike.

Malaki gently whispered a prayer. Whoever these people were, he hoped they wouldn’t claim his life.

As an answer to his prayer, the road had bumps and while the bike rider tried to balance the passengers and himself but Malaki pushed the man behind him.

The bike fell down.

There was too much adrenaline flowing through him.

He snatched the pistol from its owner and hit the man on his head twice; the foolish man needed more than that but since that knocked him out, it was enough so he didn’t kill him.

After a fight and struggle with the bike man who had already injured himself from the fall, Malaki finally brought his opponent down and tied him up. Scared passers-by saw a gun and avoided him.

After walking for 45 minutes, Malaki finally got home.

He opened the door and gently tiptoed into the house. A quick scan told him he was still alone. He redialled the number of the gang leader and after the second dial he gave up; the number wasn’t going through.

He became really worried; what if someone found out and they were the people chasing him? He began to sweat.

Someone tapped him and he freaked out.

A blow landed him on the ground.
