I was chatting with my friend Tobi and she asked me a
question. I think you need to hear the story first.
Charles married Miriam a divorcee who had a daughter
called Anne. From the first day, Charles loved Anne as his own daughter.
He adopted her
and did everything a Father should do in the life of his daughter.
He sent her to school and he made sure she had her
Masters.
Due to the economic situation in the country, it was
difficult getting a job so he gave her all she needed to set up her IT firm;
money, cars and anything you can think of.
After a few years, she was to get married. Charles gave
out 15 million to sponsor the wedding. Anne was very happy and excited.
When they were compiling the list of guests, He asked
for 30 invitation cards to be sent to his close friends; she agreed and
informed him when it was sent to them.
A few weeks before the wedding day, Charles met Ethan and
some of his other close friends at the bar.
He was surprised when Ethan informed
him that they heard about the wedding but didn’t receive any invitation. The others
confirmed the story.
Ethan’s son had had a security outfit that was in
charge of the wedding. Anne held a meeting with him and told him Charles wasn’t
going to be allowed into the venue of the wedding.
Anne was in touch
with her biological father and she said she was happy that her father would be
there and she also mentioned she wasn’t going to allow anyone take his place.
Charles received this news like a blow from Floyd
Mayweather. He couldn’t believe this was how Miriam and Anne planned to repay
him for all his good deeds. He recovered, got up on his two feet and made his
decision.
He called the caterer, wedding planner, event decorator,
cake maker and all the people he paid for the wedding.
He collected all his money from them.
Tobi’s question to me was this: What do you think
Charles have done?

He should forget it and help. Life is in cycles.
ReplyDeleteYou can't just say life is in cycles na, its obvious you haven't been there. do you know how terrible the pain of betrayal is. its devastating. Sorry to Charles.
ReplyDeleteAs for me, he made the right decision.
ReplyDeleteMy aunt had a similar experience. She was involved with this man and they decided to go into a business. She kept adding her all to it. This guy not only took away the money, he took away the light in my aunt's eyes. You just can't totally trust people. This is why I support Charles.
ReplyDeleteCharles did the right thing. Let Anne get her father to pay the bills. Ungrateful bastard.
ReplyDeleteMy name is Anne anyway.
