YOU MAY BE NEXT

It’s the final day of 2015, some people are excited and some people don’t see any difference. But I wish you a memorable 2016.

My cousin Aderonke Adeniyan (she wrote the Father's day story here) is going to be telling us what she learnt in 2015 and its a lovely piece.

Enjoy it.

...2015... BE BETTER.

I’m still focusing on what we learnt in 2015. This time, my brother is doing the talking. Someone said this year was a sad year and I think this write up properly conveys that thought. The good thing is that there will always be silver lining in the cloud.

Hope you enjoy it.

... MY 2015...

How do you grow in life? By going through your experiences to see what you did well and what you could have done better.

Today, my “personal person” Damilola Oluwalonimi will be taking us through her year.

Enjoy it and learn!

SOMETHING AMAZING.

It’s been a wonderful year with its highs and lows. Like a comment that came in yesterday, I’m sure one or two people have lost a loved one that made the year look bleak.

2015’s GIFT.

Happy Boxing Day. When I was young, we used to celebrate this day in Church and that’s actually where it started: gifts were put into a box and the box was opened the day after Christmas. That’s what birthed Boxing Day.

HANDLING CHANGE IN MARRIAGE 2.

If you missed the earlier part click HERE.

The man said

“I went for a party and I saw this beautiful lady sitting aloof at the party. We shared a dance and we connected.

Mope was the most beautiful, shy and classy woman I ever met. One of the things I loved about her was that she was as sweet as a bird and I loved her dress sense.

HANDLING CHANGE IN MARRIAGE.

Benita chatted nervously with her peers. They were to write the first of their final exams. 4 years in the University as a student of Guidance and Counselling was finally coming to an end.

“Settle down” said Dr Pwajok who was the lecturer of the course. “You are to study this case and give the counsel you find most appropriate. You have 30 minutes, good luck”.

UNFROZEN MEHN! LET IT GO.

You wake with another yawn
Stretching to the ceiling
It’s just another day
Another dull day
But the phone beeps
Oops!
It’s your day
And so what
What makes it special?

IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES

If tomorrow never comes
And I still have today
Then I’ve got the power to hover and linger
To keep working at the threshing floor
To keep make more juice at the winepress
To work on the darkness of my coal

IF NA YOU NKO?

Today was a day I was praying for no traffic; alas my prayer wasn't answered but I got to learn.

There was this woman sitting beside me in the bus who was lost in thought. Her purse fell and the contents were all on the floor including some 1000 Naira notes and she didn’t even notice.

HOW TO STOP A MAN FROM CHEATING

I know many women are interested in this topic. (I hope you know women also cheat?)

The nature of my job encourages aproko, you just gats to know everything. I sat beside some group of ladies and they were talking about the 411. There was one story that tripped me.

I DO = ONE CHANCE.

Before I started blogging, I met this lady who told me her inspiring story.

I’m Uche a young lady serving my father land.

Yemi my friend who just passed out told me of this guy who was interested in me. I told her my heart was still healing as I was just recovering from a broken relationship. She kept pestering me and when she knew I wasn’t going to bend, she brought the guy to my school.

AFRICANS AWOO!

Its wonderful to have full African parents with wonderful mindsets. If you grew up in the '80 and early 90's, you'll understand what I'm talking about.
This is why I said so.
Don't worry in less than 10 years, they'll change topic.

I’M A SECONDARY VIRGIN 1.

Some days ago I stumbled on an article. A woman’s husband was actually chatting “unguardedly” with his secretary. Thanks to smart phones and social media, he could ping till midnight.

YEEPA, I MES O!

I love my friends. We can discuss everything and anything.

So today we got talking and Sewa took us down memory lane to her first relationship. It was puppy love because they were still in Secondary School. Sewa and Tunde were smitten by a cupid.

They laughed together, ate together, went for picnics, wrote letters with a pen picked from the basket of love and ended it with doxology...you know what I mean? If you do say “uh-hun, uh-hun” (using Pastor Chris Okotie’s voice) lol.

RAIN CLOUDS 3.

She took a deep breath and fought her nerves and all she wanted to say. Instead, she said “Can you fill me in on the whole story?

“I married my wife 19 years ago. It was fun till our 2nd year when our family members started questioning us about kids. We spent the following 5 years traveling all over the world to find a solution."

RAIN CLOUDS 2.

Very early the next morning an incoming call woke Susan up.

She picked up her phone and saw it was her brother calling.

“Sist, how far” Ben fashioned a shorter way of saying sister.

“Ben how now, why are you calling me this early?” she asked.

RAIN CLOUDS.

Finally, the weekend is here and TGIF as people say.

Here's a short story that will run through out this weekend, from Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It's something I can relate with.

It's quite interesting, so enjoy it and share with your friends.

RELAX O!

You might think it’s just a norm to someone to say “how was your day” but trust me, there are times it could make a difference especially if the person really means what he or she says.

...and I do...

Life can be very hectic and each day could also be heavily demanding but trust me, i would always bring something to help you relax.

A friend sent me these pictures.

THIS ONE PASS ME.

Are there times when you hear about a particular incident and you go ‘this one pass me o?

I was chatting with my friend Tobi and she asked me a question. I think you need to hear the story first.

Charles married Miriam a divorcee who had a daughter called Anne. From the first day, Charles loved Anne as his own daughter.
