CHAPTER 17

Henry gave the MoF a quizzical brow. This guy’s ways was totally foreign to him. Who feeds a cow heavily when he’s about to slaughter it?

Why give him an energy drink and still want to draw away one’s living breath? He didn’t understand.

Why want him and Malaki on the same page? Why cuff them? Why Why Why?

It was a pity it was just himself and Malaki. The two of them were like the Gulf of Alaska. 

The dunce was even laughing at him. He felt like giving him a bicycle blow.

Anyway, he’d had his fair share.

If only Malaki was wise and sensible enough, they would have joined forces and dealt with the MoF. Why did he give himself such a name? 

If only Code Red was around they’ll be the water to quench his fire.

He could hear footsteps from a distance and whimpering as well. He remembered they were bringing hostages.

Henry wondered who they were. He gave a huge sigh of relief. That’s why he made sure there was no one he was emotionally attached to him.

MoF was still sipping his wine and humming a song Emeli Sande’s read all about it when the bodyguards brought in two women with their heads covered.

Henry laughed out loud. These people were clown’s did they think they could force him to choose? He didn’t play his games that way. 

He kept laughing louder till he felt a throbbing pain in his head and belly. One of the bodyguards gave him two slaps, an uppercut and several blows to his belly.

He wiped the blood off his nose as he bent over from the pain.

MoF continued with his speech. Life was about choices and they would have to make some hard and though decisions.

He ordered the clothes to be removed from the women’s head.

The first woman was an elderly woman and he heard Malaki shout Mama Abi and burst into tears.

To his greatest surprise, the second woman was Nurse Florence. He had completely forgotten about her over the past few weeks and she looked lost and sad.

He felt sorry for her.

Malaki kept crying but a blow from the bodyguard stilled the tears and turned it into sobs.

MoF told them it was time for them to decide who they loved.

With a hammer in his hand, he walked over to a whimpering Florence who wanted to scream but she was gagged.

He took her hand and hit the hammer on her wrist. She screamed.

Henry opened his mouth in shock. That was swift.

He was swifter when he did the same to the Mama Abi woman. Malaki seemed broken.

MoF asked Henry what his decision was. Malaki was about to talk but he told him to keep quiet.

Henry said he would still stick with Tracy no matter what. Florence’s gag was removed and she couldn’t hide back her emotions. 

She asked Henry about all his promises and when she saw the look in his eyes she told him he would rot in hell and she kept laughing.

She said she was happy with what she did.

Before they removed the gag from Mama Abi’s mouth, Malaki said he released her to Henry. He loved her but wouldn’t risk any other life.

MoF said that was the verdict.

He called in Tracy.
