MAN ON FIRE.

CHAPTER 16.

In his Church mind, Malaki was laughing. This felt good, this felt extremely good.
Henry was screaming in pain and for God’s sake Malaki enjoyed it.

Whoever this man was, Malaki prayed for God’s blessing on him but something in his mind also made him uncomfortable.

The man in charge of the fight was beating him to a pulp.

When Malaki saw Henry, he was frightened; he was almost unrecognisable as his face was bloody. This man in charge was terrible.

He dragged a weak Henry to sit beside Malaki; Henry had passed out.

The man went out of the warehouse, Malaki felt fear creeping in. This guy was a crazy fellow.

He returned to the scene with a two bottles of champagne, three wine glasses and his tobacco. Malaki squealed at the popping of the champagne.

The man laughed at Malaki. He told him to relax as he poured out the wine into three cups.

He forced Henry’s mouth to open and poured the drink in it but told Malaki to choose if he wanted the drink the way Henry drank it or to drink it forcefully.

A humbled Malaki decided to take the drink calmly as the two bodyguards beside him ensured he gulped it down to the last drop.

The man in charge told him he would love to be addressed as Man on Fire. MoF explained that he spiked the drink with an energy booster as they would need it for
what was coming their way.

In a few minutes, Henry came around; he blinked continuously as he tried to get a hold of what happened and when he did, he laughed.

Henry told MoF he was wasting his time because he felt so strong as if he could handle all the men. MoF and his men laughed along with him.

Now Malaki was getting pissed at all the laughter; he wanted MoF to get down to business so he asked MoF why they gathered there.

MoF told him to take a chill pill as he was going to explain that in a few minutes.

He turned to Henry, explaining to him the reason for his strength and why he beat him so terribly: he wanted Henry and Malaki to be on the same page.

Malaki groaned out in pleasure. Both of them lost men and felt pain. He wished Henry went through more: The madness within him was meeting the one without.

MoF said he knew both of them were in love with the same woman so he came here to make their lives meaningful by helping them make a choice: Leave Tracy!

The two bodyguards took the sides of both men as MoF asked who was ready to leave her alone. The two men stole glances at each other. None responded.

At MoF’s glance, the bodyguards tied their hands firmly. They brought hammers and smashed it on their thumbs and little fingers. Both men shouted.

MoF promised them it was just the tip of the iceberg but urged them to make their decision quickly.

MoF simply smiled; he enjoyed what was going on as he poured more wine into his cup and asked the question again, none answered so he gave another sign to the bodyguards who tied them up and whipped them.

Deep down, Malaki looked at the absurdity of all that was going on, this was his wife for heaven’s sake and they were legally married, he didn’t deserve it.

He told Mof just what he thought – it was absurd and illegal; she was his wife and they married. He loved her and Henry was just using her.

No matter what MoF was going to do, He was going to keep loving his wife and there was nothing that would stop him.

MoF told him he was pleased with the speech. Since he said nothing could take him from his wife he was about to find out.

MoF told his men to bring in the hostages.

Malaki and Henry gave each other a surprised look.

Who were the hostages for God’s sake?
