WHY SHEA BUTTER IS THE BEST.

Let’s talk about Shea Butter. Under this side of heaven, it’s popularly called Ori.
Before I go into the many health benefits, I must say that I like the soft melting feeling in my hands.

Shea Butter is a wonderful health and beauty product that is used by many people worldwide with amazing results. It is gotten from the nuts of the Karite trees of Africa. The nuts need no plucking; it falls to the ground on its own.

It grows in some parts of West Africa and South Sudan; it’s also great to know it’s edible. Did someone say Yuck? Then don’t eat any sweet snack as it is an active ingredient used for chocolates and many other confectioneries.

The many benefits of Shea Butter include:

  • It’s good for the hair. This is because it locks in the moisture which will in turn condition the scalp, keeps the curls and prevent dandruff. It nourishes the hair and restores losses when applied to the root and scalp. It also aids the process of styling the hair.

  • If you want smooth and soft lips, you should use Shea Butter more often. It protects the lips from breaking or cracking and heals it. All you need to do is apply it with your fingers as frequently as possible.

  • Shea Butter is very rich in Vitamins A (for bright eyes) and E (healthy immune system) making it very healthy for the skin and body and it prevents damage or diminishing. The moisturizer in it is the same as the one produced in the skin’s glands. This is why you should use it if you have dry skin.

  • It has more healing powers for the skin.  It has Oleic acid, Palmitic acid and Linoletic acid which help the skin heal on its own.

  • Shea Butter has been proven to clear off wrinkles if you use it for at least 6 weeks continuously. I know someone who is using it and it made her skin lighter and brighter. It also clears stretch marks due to the amount of vitamins it possesses.

  • If you have a cracked heel that is painful and embarrassing, you should use Shea Butter. All you need to do is wash your feet, apply a generous amount to the spot, wear socks and sleep with it throughout the night.

  • Research has shown that Shea Butter contains anti-inflammatory agents due to the high amount of Cinnamic acid. It also has anti-tumor compounds.  If you have an inflamed skin, you should use it.

  • If your nose is blocked from Catarrh, you should apply Shea Butter into your nostrils. It clears your nose and you will feel relieved.

  • If you have Eczema or Acne, you should also try Shea Butter. After taking your bath when your skin is wet and feels cool, apply the Shea Butter so it will lock in the moisture for Eczema. For Acne, apply lightly on your face and wash away after a few hours. (It doesn’t work for everyone)

  • It also works for bites. All you need to do is rub it on the spot. It reduces the swell, redness or itching.

It’s best to use it in its natural state.

I hope you enjoy the Shea Butter.
