Shh..Peace

It’s pretty lovely how chatting with the people around you can make things dawn on you.

My friends Ada, Tomisin and Lateef and I went to visit another friend of ours last weekend. We call her biggest sis, she was celebrating her son’s 7th birthday and we decided to honour her with our presence.

We took a cab and since there was traffic we decided to take selfies and chat instead of just looking like ‘bolo’

Man-Drama

 CHAPTER 10.
Tracy alighted from the tricycle and walked into her office premises. She’d had a very busy weekend: she was awake for most of Friday night.  She was shocked that night when she heard a knock on her door at past 1am. It was a stranger asking for her help. She saved the non-Nigerian who said he was chased by touts that believed he was rich.

They wanted to collect all he had and kill him so they attacked him but he was able to fight those who held him down and run away before the full pack of wolves pounced on him. He had an injury on his arm and several cuts on his back. She gave him first-aid, food and a place to sleep.

She didn't believe all he said until she heard some guys making noise and saying they had lost him. It took the effort of security men to disperse them.

After she let him in, she wondered why she decided to help him.  He hardly said anything and left before she woke up on Saturday and she was glad. She just found a note where he scribbled the words ‘thank you’.

There was no power supply and she didn't even see his face. That made it even better. She had enough man-drama and didn't need any more of it.

WHAT TIME MADE YOU APPRECIATE.

What time made you appreciate.

Eko my Lagos! This ever bustling city where some people don’t sleep. I’ve been to different parts of this city from its heart on the Island, another extreme called Folu (Ibeju-Lekki  Local Government) to various places on the mainland. It’s wonderful to know some people don’t wink during the night and I’m not talking about security men but about people who don’t work at night. Some people just want to club or go for a vigil or just want to earn a living. Cheers to all!

DOUBLE WAHALA

                                               CHAPTER 9.

Henry was startled. He woke up and the pain he felt on his shoulder was overwhelming. He wanted to scream. To make matters worse, the nurse asked how he felt. If she was a male nurse, he would have wrung her neck or given her a punch to die for but he was sure the hospital would give him an analgesic that would lead to his death or worse still, paralyze him for the rest of his crazy life.

He didn’t respond but gave her a cold stare. She kept questioning and smiling at him. She could just shoot him instead of the smile. A smile didn’t make the world go round or get the right things in life. It seemed she got the message and decided to take a walk but not before she told him to buzz her if he needed anything.

Her name was Florence. He didn’t give 2f’s, she could go to hell for all he cared.

MALAKI IS UNDONE

                                                     CHAPTER 8.

Malaki got into the car, shut the door and placed his forehead on the steering. He was having a terrible headache and there was no pain killer that would be effective. He went to see Mama Abi and was properly schooled there.

Mama Abi was his Aunt whom he was fond of. She was his dad’s youngest sister who understood every of his unsaid words; if he moved his right foot, she also moved her left foot to aid him. If she was just any woman and not his aunt, he would have married her.

STRIPPER or VIBRATOR.

BETWEEN A STRIPPER (ash babe) AND A VIBRATOR (vibe).

From the wedding table; I had to go for my friend’s wedding. Both of us and two others formed a clique in the university and she was worth my time. (Trust me, not everyone in your life will be worth it)

I was so excited about it and I had to ask one of my girls what our focus was- the wedding or the reunion. She just gave me a soft chuckle coz she also knew the answer.

We all had a wonderful time getting to know what’s up with each person, how each one of us was doing, who was married and then someone mentioned another fellow who got married but was not living with his wife. This led to the bane of this writing.

Shadows in me.

CHAPTER 7.
Unarguably, Henry has been stressed. Thinking about how to deal with Malaki, staying with Tracy, keeping her calm, and all other things that was calling for his attention. It’s been a crazy time but then he was a crazy person as well and he enjoyed it.

CHAPTER 6 ARNOLD OF LIFE.

If Malaki was told he would become an “Arnold” coz of his wife he wouldn’t have believed. If anyone had told him this was what marriage entailed, he sure wouldn’t have ventured into it.

He didn’t enjoy any bit of his marriage except the honeymoon of course coz it was free from any interference from the world. He learnt what it was to dwell and be satisfied with your own wife. He totally enjoyed her, from her smile to her charm, chatting with her and her thought pattern!

He enjoyed every minute they spent in bed as he always slept immediately after and thought she enjoyed it too; she must have also slept after spending the same amount of energy that he also spent but she said she didn’t enjoy it while he did.

What went wrong? Was Henry that good? Was he that terrible for Tracy to prefer Henry? What exactly did they do together? His mind drifted from it…

Chapter 5 - Behold the wise one!

CHAPTER 5.

Tracy sat by the bath tub while her thoughts drifted away. She thought about how her life has been topsy-turvy since she got married or rather since she got back from her honeymoon. She thought about the tripod of love and emotions between Malaki, Henry and her. She thought about all the time she had spent with Henry in the past few days, how she enjoyed herself all the while, the sex, the outings, and every single moment she spent with him, there was never a dull moment as she enjoyed herself to the max except for her conscience that was always gnawing at her.

Chapter 4 - Serious Wahala.

Malaki was sweating. He had asked all his neighbors, not one person saw his wife. This was one of the reasons why all the neighbors should have agreed to get a security man whether they had a jam gate or not.

She didn’t say she was going anywhere so how come she disappeared? Her phone was upstairs and his mind was running! He didn’t even know what to think anymore. He just hoped and prayed she was safe wherever she was.

He broke down in tears and prayer while he was in the bathroom. She was his wife and he had always loved her. Since he couldn’t make a formal police report till it was 24 hours, he decided to alert all of their friends and family.

Chapter 3. Oh My God!!!

She was with him!!!
Nothing could describe what she was feeling at that moment. She was overwhelmed, anxious, irate love-struck just a bag of mixed feelings all at once. She wanted to punch him and kiss him all at once.

The most annoying thing was that she saw him and forgot absolutely everything including her name. She opened her mouth and she noticed that her words were failing. It was replaced with tears. He walked up to her and held her.

She mustered all her strength and hit him on his check. He held the cheek while dazed as tears fell from his own eyes. He held her and they cried together.

Chapter 2. Shot in the Past.

CHAPTER 2. SHOT IN THE PAST.

Malaki switched off the car engine, picked up his briefcase and jacket before strolling towards the house. Damn! It was one hell of a day. Thankfully, he was home and all he could think of was food, shower and of course his wife in his bed; hmm, the thought of this made him quicken his pace.

Chapter 1- The Terminator.

CHAPTER 1. –THE TERMINATOR

Tracy woke up and starred into the rising sun, Malaki her husband was nowhere in sight and then she remembered he went to work.

Speaking of work, she checked her beside clock and found out it was 6.32am. She sprang out of bed like lightening and dashed into the bathroom and took a quick shower and dressed up. She made it out of the house before 7.

Now this honeymoon had gotten into her head as she still couldn’t believe she had overslept. She was even dreaming about it. She arrived at work at 8.48am. What a hectic Monday Morning!

Is this more than a love story?

So, whats happening in Tracy's world? Why is she stone-cold and why does she need a Wallaby, isn't that a contrast?

MY TERMINATOR, GET SET, GET READY, SHOOT.

MY TERMINATOR, GET SET, GET READY, SHOOT.
PROLOGUE.

My heart is stone-cold and I can’t care less
Troubled with the Topsy-turvy life keeps bringing my way
No longer ignited by your presence
Burnt out, heart failing
Words cannot describe what I feel
Coz its way beyond words
I don’t need you oh Hyena!
